Is Registration for CPT Course and Registering for the Exam is the Same?
There is a whole lot of chaos on when to register for the course and when to register for the exam (Thanks to many websites, pouring wrong information ❓).
Firstly, we need to acknowledge that registering for the course and registering for an exam are two different events that need to be done at a different interval before appearing for CA exams.
Secondly, to save the student time ICAI has introduced new one credential signature or username and password, which will be used throughout the course, so you don’t need to create a new user ID and password again and again for every registration.
The registration process is commonly used to register for the course and filing application form or exam form is referred to register for exams.
What is the Difference in the Application Form and Exam Form?
There is no difference in the application form and exam form. Both refer to the same document, that needs to be online filed and submitted while registering for exams.
What is the Application Form/Exam Form for CPT June 2019?
Application or exam form is the prescribed format form through which student enrols their seat for June 2019 exams. This form is filed online. The application form carries your basic details like name, registration number, the name of the examination, previous level mark details and your preferences for the location etc.
When is Application Form Available for CPT June 2019?
The application form is made available from 4th April 2019 to be filled and submitted online on ICAI official website.
How to Fill the CPT Exam Form?
We assume you are either applying for CPT June exams as reattempt or you must have ready registered under CPT level before June 2017.
You have created your login id and you have a single credential account.
Steps to fill the application/exam form
Go to the student tab on the link below.
Log in with your id and password created while registering with the course.
If you haven’t created a login id and password
- Then create one by clicking on new user
- Fill your details like Registration ID. , Name, DOB examination details.
- Submit the details and you will be generating new login Id and password
The next stage is to fill the application or exam form
The steps towards that are:

✔Click on the ‘Login/Register’ tab. Type in your login-id and password, and click on ‘Login register for Apply now’ to apply for CA CPT May 2019 exam and fill the application form including details of examination, exam center, etc.
✔Upload the mandatory documents like a passport size photograph and signature.
✔Preview the filled in CA CPT application form 2019. In case of any mistakes, click on ‘Back to Form’.
✔Once satisfied with your form, tick mark the ‘I agree’ declaration box and click on ‘Final submit’.
How to Submit an Application Form for CPT June 2019?
The application form is available online and is filed and submitted online only But if you are not able to upload the Annexure document, then you can send the filled application form along with attested documents through postal service to the examination centers.
The application form is duly filed along with the preferred location and center and scan a copy of the photograph and signature is uploaded and submitted online.
How to Post CPT Exam Form Offline?
By any reason you are not able to upload your photograph and signature, then you have to take a printout of the application form, attach your photograph and signature and can send it to the exam center located countrywide through private couriers or postal services.
The form should reach 1 month before June examination.
IMPORTANT: Candidates are advised NOT to paste the photographs over the photographs already appearing in the PDF from the system.
Printout of the Exam Application form (PDF) received after the last date, 2019 will not be entertained under any circumstances. Therefore, candidates are advised to fill up the exam forms online at an early date to avoid the last-minute technical glitch
Can I Get the Physical Copy of CPT Exam Form?
No, ICAI has discontinued, physical format of application form. You need to download the application form online only.
Are There Any Documents I Need to Upload Along with CPT 2019 Exam Form?
As new enrollment in this course is barred since June 2017 either, you must be applying under reattempt or this must be your first and last attempt. If you are applying under reattempt then your basic details are. Already uploaded on the website and you need to log on the ICAI website through one-time sign-in login id and can submit your application form
If you are applying for the first time, then you need to a
- Attested copy of CPT Admit card/ mark sheet of Class 12th issued by the respective Board.
- One recent color photograph (affixed on the printout of the online successful registration form)
- Attested copies of proof of Nationality, if the student is a foreigner.
- Attested copies of proof of special category certificate, i.e. SC/ST, OBC, Differently abled.
- An attested copy of the Xth Marksheet/admit card of Xth class indicating the name & date of birth.
What are the CPT Exam Form Fees for June 2019?
When you register for CPT exams you need to fill an online application form or exam form and submit it along with CPT online exam fees.
