CA is one of the sought after careers in India and the Foundation course is the entry-level exam in the Chartered Accountancy course. Students who have appeared for the grade 12th examination can enroll for the course and they can appear for the Foundation examination after passing the 12th-grade examination. Once enrolled for the course you are required to complete a minimum of 4 months study period from the date of registration in order to be eligible to appear in the Foundation examination.

Also, the students from newly formed Union Territories of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh and the North-East States need to pay only Rs 2250/-. They need to upload the following self-attested documents at the time of registration (i) Domicile Certificate (ii) Proof of Identity – Aadhaar Card / Passport / Voter ID.

CA Foundation Registration Process –

Students are advised to check the steps of the CA Foundation registration fees process given below:

Step 1- You can register for the CA Foundation exam through the ICAI website. On the CA Foundation registration page, you will find the option to enter your details like salutation, name, gender, DOB, email id, mobile number, country.

Step 2- The next step would be to click on generate OTP, an OTP will be sent on the mobile number you have used for registration.

Step 3– Enter the captcha text. And click the submit option to get an OTP.

Step 4 – You will receive an OTP for confirmation.

Step 5- Enter OTP to Confirm and Complete the Login process.

Step 6- Once OTP confirmation is done, the student will receive login credentials, via SMS and Email for logging in and completing the registration procedure.

Step 7– After logging in, you get two options of which you have to select the left one named ‘Student Cycle’

Step 8- Click ‘Apply for Foundation on the new screen’.

In the next step, some of the details will be already filled as you have entered them at the beginning. The other information to be shared  in the CA Foundation course registration fees 2021 are:

Steps 9- After entering all the information, click on ‘Save and Next’.

Step 10 – Following window will need you to share information about your 10th and 12th details like roll no, board, year and month of passing, result details (marks, percentage/CGPA). You will also need to upload the scanned copies of the documents- 10th and 12th results. (12th Admit card in case of provisional registration.)

Step 11- Select the language of study. English or Hindi. Click save and next to proceed ahead.

Step12- Now upload your photo and a copy of the scanned signature (must be on a blank white paper with blue ink). The maximum view ratio of the image is width: 21 cm and length:27 cm. The size of the file of every scanned document must be less than 1 MB and it should in a pdf or jpeg file format. Complete the following conditions to avoid disproval of the application. Click on create OTP and enter the OTP you acquired.

Step 13- The last step includes the payment of the CA Foundation registration fees. You will be lead to the payment gateway. The payment can be made through Debit Card/Credit Card or Net banking. Once the payment is complete, the system will generate the form automatically with a successful message of transaction.

Step 14- Get the printout of the system generated and filled the CA Foundation form. Attach the required documents. Finally, you will have to post them to the postal address of ICAI. 

Once the CA foundation registration fees 2021 process is finished, the study material will be sent to the candidates via the Centralized Dispatch System (CDS).

To be able to register for the CA Foundation, students have to register and login to fill up the details in the application form, enter qualification details, upload scanned copies of the documents, and pay the CA Foundation course registration fees 2021. 

Registration Process:

You can register for the CA Foundation course through the official ICAI website where you can fill the CA foundation registration form and make the requisite payment. Once the payment is done the system will produce the form automatically which is required to get print. The form has to be submitted by the candidate by duly signing it within 7 days along with the printouts of required documents.

Following are the mandatory documents needed to complete CA Foundation registration.

  1. Admit Card/ Marksheet of class 12th Examination issued by the respective board – Attested copy.
  2. One latest colored photograph should be affixed on the hard copy of the CA Foundation registration form.
  3. Proof of Nationality, if the student is a foreigner- Attested Copy
  4. Proof of special category certificate i.e. ST/ SC/ OBC or differently-abled- Attested Copy.
  5. 10th Marksheet/ Admit card of 10th class indicating the Name and Date of Birth – Attested copy

The following documents along with the signed copy of the form are to be submitted in accord to the Regional offices of the ICAI. Even though registration is not a one-time procedure. Once the enrollment is done for the Foundation course it is valid for the next three years. Also, it can be revalidated any number of times for a further three years by depositing nominal fees decided by the ICAI from time to time.

Once the above registration process is completed the Study Material will be dispatch to the candidates through the Centralised Dispatch System (CDS).

CA Foundation 2021 Eligibility Criteria-

Candidates who have either passed Class 12 or going to appear for the Class 12  exam conducted by an examining body constituted by the law in India are eligible for the Foundation examination.

Before applying for the CA Foundation 2021, the students need to undergo the CA Foundation eligibility criteria. The CA Foundation eligibility criteria are as follows :

  1. Students must have passed or appeared in the present year for Class 12 or any equivalent examination. There is no minimum Percentage required all you need to do is pass the 12th class.
  2. Students must have enrolled for the CA Foundation (by December 31, for the May session and by June 30, for the November session)
  3. After successful enrollment, students will have to undergo 4 months study period before appearing for the foundation exam.
