CA Course Duration After 12th
Foundation Examination –
The First step towards the Chartered Accountancy is the CA Foundation. You can register with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) anytime after receiving admit card for 12th exam and you become eligible to give exams after passing your 12th board exams. CA Foundation is the entry-level for the Chartered Accountancy course. CA Foundation exams are conducted twice a year in the month of May and November. Intermediate Examination –
Upon clearing the Senior Secondary Examination (10+12) and Foundation. The CA Aspirant can register for Intermediate course. One has to register for Intermediate examination eight months prior to the first day of the month in which examinations are held. After the Intermediate exams, the candidate needs to go through four weeks of Integrated Course on Information Technology and Soft skills (ICITSS) training which can be taken after appearing any of the one group of the two groups of subjects. The ICITSS is made of Courses on Information Technology and Orientation Course and is to be completed compulsorily before the start of their articleship.
Articleship and CA Final –
This is the last step which consists of practical experience as well as theoretical exams. The Candidate who has cleared any of the two groups of the intermediate are qualified to get registered for Articleship and the practical training can be started. While undergoing 3 years of compulsory training or Articleship under a registered CA, you start earning a stipend and can register for Final level in the last 6 month of Articleship training by filling the CA Final exam form online. CA final is the last level Exam in CA course.
Even though there is no due date for the CA final course enrollment, it is compulsory to appear for final exams which are held in May and November. The Student needs to go through Four Weeks of Advanced Integrated Course on Information Technology and Soft skills (AICITSS). AICITSS consists of curriculum on Advanced Information Technology and Management Communication Skills throughout the final two years of articleship but before taking Final Examination.
You can appear for your Final exams after completing your Articleship or during the last six months of the articleship training or before the last day of the month prior to the month in which the examination is to be held after effectively completing the AICITSS.
Once you complete your mandatory articleship of three years and pass your final CA exams you can Enroll as a member of the ICAI and be designated as “Chartered Accountant”.
