To become a Chartered Accountant (CA) in India, one has to follow a specific path as given by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). The course covers topics such as corporate and other laws, auditing and insurance, cost management and control, and taxation.

3. CA Articleship Training:

After passing the intermediate level, aspiring CAs undergo a two-year practical training program called “articleship”. This practical experience is essential to developing practical skills and a quick understanding of conceptual knowledge. This is a mandatory requirement to become a CA in India. During the study period, students will gain practical experience in areas such as accounting, taxation, auditing, and finance.

After completion of articleship training, students can appear for CA Final Examination. The exam is conducted twice a year – in May and November. The CA Final Examination is a comprehensive examination covering all topics studied in the Foundation, Intermediate, and Final courses.

4. CA Final:
